Join Us In Taking Charge... Especially In These Times
Welcome to our next edition of "Life Grows On." In this special edition, we are spotlighting the ways in which individuals, including staff members of Highland Valley Elder Services, volunteers from the community and people participating in many of our programs, are "taking charge" of the various aspects of their lives and communities.
We will also focus on the ways in which Highland Valley, and similar agencies, work with people to match them with what they need to organize the care they manage either for themselves or for someone they are caring for.
You'll read about people running dining centers, delivering meals to those who cannot leave their homes, assisting elders to manage their finances, advocating for seniors' rights, caring for family members, and serving on Highland Valley's and local Council on Aging Boards of Directors.
Highland Valley's mission, helping people to Take Charge of Their Lives and Communities for Quality Long Living, comes alive in these stories. The Voices you'll hear in them are a testimony to how much people care for each other here in the valley..
We're happy to showcase how people are active and caring in later life. We hope that you will also take a moment to discover how you "Take Charge" each and every day! Share your story with us for a future issue!
